CONSENT CALENDAR

The Council next read all items found under the heading Consent Calendar and assigned them to committees.

Mr. Rubin moved for the introduction of all items appearing under the heading Consent Calendar. Ms. Felter seconded the motion. It was unanimously carried by the Council. Bids were received for pad mounted underground switch for electric distribution department. Name of Bidders Gresco

The above bid was referred to the Mayor and appropriate committee for tabulation and recommendation. The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR PAD MOUNTED UNDERGROUND SWITCH FOR ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

Bids were received for purchase and installation of dispatch consoles, bookcase, and storage locker for the Fire Department. Name of Bidders Ergoflex Systems Watson Furniture Group Link Integration Group

The above bid was referred to the Mayor and appropriate committee for tabulation and recommendation. The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF DISPATCH CONSOLES, BOOKCASE AND STORAGE LOCKER FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR A FOUR INCH HYDRAULIC DRIVE SUBMERSIBLE PUMP FOR THE WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

The above bid was referred to the Mayor and appropriate committee for tabulation and recommendation. The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR ELECTRIC UTILITY RIGHT-OF-WAY MAINTENANCE AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

Bids were received for International CV515 truck with truck mounted jet rodder for the Wastewater Department. Name of Bidders Covington Sales and Services, Inc.

The above bid was referred to the Mayor and appropriate committee for tabulation and recommendation. The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR INTERNATIONAL CV515 TRUCK WITH TRUCK MOUNTED JET RODDER FOR THE WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

Bids were received for two 2024 model year Ford Explorer current model year. Name of Bidders Hixson Autoplex

The above bid was referred to the Mayor and appropriate committee for tabulation and recommendation. The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR TWO 2024 MODEL YEAR FORD EXPLORER CURRENT MODEL YEAR OR NEWER FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

Bids were received for minimum of one dive boat for the Fire Department. Name of Bidders Lower Power Sports

The above bid was referred to the Mayor and appropriate committee for tabulation and recommendation. The following ordinance was introduced by Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE DIVE BOAT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE 2024 ADJUSTED MILLAGE RATES ON THE MILLAGE ASSESSMENTS FOR PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA LEVIED UPON THE DOLLAR OF THE ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO AD VALOREM TAXATION IN THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE INCREASE IN THE 2024 ADJUSTED MILLAGE RATES ON THE MILLAGE ASSESSMENTS FOR PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA, BUT NOT IN EXCESS OF THE PRIOR YEAR’S MAXIMUM RATE LEVIED UPON THE DOLLAR OF THE ASSESSED VALUE OF ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO AD VALOREM TAXATION IN THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT WITH CIVIC PLUS, LLC FOR MUNICODE SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Rubin and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF LOUISIANA, OFFICE OF FACILITY PLANNING AND CONTROL, FOR SUGARHOUSE ROAD/EDDIE WILLIAMS BLVD. CAPITAL OUTLAY APPROPRIATIONS AND ANY OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS REASONABLE AND NECESSARY THERETO AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR TURN OUT GEAR. The President called for any discussion, a vote was called for and resulted as follows:
