  • G. CONSENT CALENDAR
  1. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for brass fittings and miscellaneous for a twelve month period.
  2. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to renew the existing contract for janitorial services for the cleaning of the Alexandria Zoological Park.
  3. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the City Attorney to satisfy the judgment rendered June 12, 2025 in the consolidated matters at the 9th Judicial District Court entitled “Mieacha Piper v. James A Gantt, et al.”, Docket #271,130 and “Ebony V. Lee v. City of Alexandria, Clyde D. Mix, James A. Gantt and Go Auto Insurance Company”, Docket # 272,626 and other matters related thereto.
  4. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the rezoning of property from C-2 (General Commercial) to I-2 (General Industrial District) to allow heavy industrial retail sales.
  • H. RESOLUTIONS
  1. RESOLUTION to co-sponsor YWCA Girls on the Run Central Louisiana Fall 2025 5K Race in November 2025.
  2. RESOLUTION to-co-sponsor Louisiana Women in Agriculture Lunch and Learn in November 2025.
  3. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for petroleum products and chemicals additives for Wartsila Engines at DG Hunter Power Plant.
  4. RESOLUTION setting a public hearing to be held on December 2, 2025 to consider condemnation of twenty-five (25) structures within the City.
  • I. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING
  1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for turn out gear for the Fire Department.
  2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Consolidated City Compound Metal Roof and Soffit Replacement.
  3. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Rapides Parish Law Enforcement District relative to an employee health and wellness clinic venue program and related services.
  4. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for auxiliary power
  5. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the lowest proposal received from Yankee Holdings dba Yankee Clipper for landscape maintenance services at Jackson and MacArthur.
  6. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the lowest proposal received from Taylorscapes for landscape maintenance services for the Community Centers.
  7. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into agreements with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development with respect to annual CDBG and HOME grant funding contracts, amendments, and other documents and matters with respect thereto.
  8. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor accept the lowest proposal received from Yankee Holdings dba Yankee Clipper for landscape maintenance services for I-49 Greenbelt.
  9. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the lowest proposal received from Ted Finn LLC for landscape maintenance services for Martin Park.
  • J. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT- PUBLIC HEARING
  1. RESOLUTION to consider condemnation of structures located at 2211 N. MacArthur Drive and to declare a grave public emergency due to the condition of the structures and to provide with respect thereto.
  2. Adjourned Alexandria City Council meetings and Council committee meetings are broadcast live and may be viewed live by the public on Optimum Cable Channel 4. A rebroadcast may be viewed on Optimum Cable Channel 4
