Introduction of an ordinance to amend and reenact Article III of Chapter 2, Sections 2-46 through 2-50 of the Alexandria Code of Ordinances relative to City Council Districts; repealing Ordinance #37-2024 and reenacting City Council district boundaries and descriptions in Ordinance #153-2022 relative to redistricting and reapportioning City Council Districts one, two, three, four and five as shown on the map titled City of Alexandria council districts prepared by the office of City Engineer; to provide for effectiveness and other matters with respect thereto.
  3. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the lowest proposal received from Hydromax USA, LLC, for valve exercising program services.
  4. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Office of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Emergency Training Academy to support fire and emergency training programs at Alexandria Fire Department facilities.
  5. Introduction of an ordinance rezoning properties located at 3415 and 3419, Nelson Street, Alexandria, Louisiana, Parish of Rapides, from B-3 (Business District) to C-1 (Limited Commercial District) to allow for the development of fast food franchise.
  6. Introduction of an ordinance rezoning property located at 700 Belleau Wood Blvd. Alexandria, Louisiana, Parish of Rapides from C-2 (General Commercial District) to SF-3 (Single Family High Density) to allow for the development of thirteen (13) duplexes.
  • G. RESOLUTIONS
  1. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for electric utility right-of-way emergency services.
  2. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for petroleum products for various departments.
  3. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for a minimum of one Service Utility Body for the Motor Pool Department.
  4. RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Cynthia Baker to the Alexandria Civil Service Commission nominated by Southern University and A&M College.
  • H. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING
  1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for brass fittings and miscellaneous for a twelve month period.
  2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to renew the existing contract for janitorial services for the cleaning of the Alexandria Zoological Park.
  3. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the City Attorney to satisfy the judgment rendered June 12, 2025 in the consolidated matters at the 9th Judicial District Court entitled “Mieacha Piper v. James A Gantt, et al.”, Docket #271,130 and “Ebony V. Lee v. City of Alexandria, Clyde D. Mix, James A. Gantt and Go Auto Insurance Company”, Docket # 272,626 and other matters related thereto.
  4. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Consolidated City Compound Metal Roof and Soffit Replacement.
  5. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for auxiliary power generator at Fire

  1. To hold a public hearing to consider condemnation of twenty-five
  • (25) structures.
