  2. Treasurer’s Report.
  3. Motion to rescind a certain motion to purchase two (2) vehicles for Rapides Parish Fire District No. 2 passed on September 18, 2023, as recommended by the Fire Chief and Purchasing Agent. The vehicles were ordered incorrectly by the vendor and the correct ones are no longer available. (Mr. Moreau)
  4. Motion to authorize the participation in an upcoming auction, date to be determined, as requested by the Purchasing Agent and various departments. (Mr. Moreau)
  5. Motion to delete from the Rapides Parish Sales & Use Tax Asset/Inve ntory program the equipment listed below as it is no longer suitable for public use. Asset No. Description Disposal 11516 SUV – Ford Explorer to be auctioned (Mr. Bishop)
  6. Motion to delete from the Ward Nine Recreation Park As set/Inventory the following equipment. This equipment will be used as a trade-in to purchase a new tractor/lawnmower from Louisiana State Contract No. 4400026020 as requested by Park Director, approved by Legal Counsel and pending approval from the Recreation Board.

  1. Motion to authorize an amendment to the concession agreement betw een the Rapides Parish Police Jury and the Louisiana Workforce Commission – Randolph Sheppard Management – Office of Rehabilitation Services and authorize the Parish President all necessary documents. (Mr. Bishop)
  2. Motion to transfer the responsibility of one (1) Enterprise Flee t Management Leased 2022 Chevrolet Malibu from 9th JDC Juvenile Probation to the Rapides Parish Sales Tax Office, as recommended by the Chief Judge and Sales Tax Administrator. (Mr. Bishop)

  3. Motion to authorize Fire District No. 4 – Holiday Village VF D to submit a grant application to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and authorize the Parish President and Fire Chief to sign all necessary documents, as recommended by the Fire Chief. (Mr. Bishop)
  4. Motion to ratify authorization for Fire District No.18 to submit an application to the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Program, thru FEMA GO, for a tanker truck, cascade system and turnout gear/extractor, with matching funds to be paid from Fire District No. 18 budget and authorize the Fire Chief and Parish President to sign all necessary documents. (Mr. Overton)
  5. Motion to adopt a resolution for professional services to update the Master Plan, Airport Layout Plan (ALP), to be 100% funded by the Federal Aviation Administration and the State of Louisiana Aviation Trust Fund, anticipated not to exceed $560,001.00, and authorize the President to sign all necessary documents, as requested by the Esler Airport Manager. (Mr. Bishop)
  6. Motion to authorize the President to sign a contract bet ween the Rapides Parish Police Jury and the Department of Public Safety and Corrections/Office of Juvenile Justice to allow the Ninth Judicial District Court to continue to participate in the Title IV-E Federal Foster Care Reimbursement Program, CFDA Number 93.658, for the period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2026. (Mr. Bishop)

  4. Motion to approve a two-percent (2%) hourly rate increase effecti ve March 24, 2024 for the active part-time Maintenance Technicians for the Courthouse Maintenance Department and approve an annual two-percent (2%) increase on their anniversary date beginning in 2025. (Mr. McGlothlin)

  2. Motion to waive the insurance requirements for sewer effluent di scharge requested by the Rapides Area Planning Commission and approved by the Public Works Director and the Rapides Parish Health Department. (Mr. Bordelon)
  3. Motion to adopt a resolution terminating the declaration of a Sta te of Emergency in Rapides Parish, originally declared on August 14, 2023, for heat related emergencies. (Mr. Bishop)
