Motion to authorize to advertise, receive bids and award the purchase of a Fire Truck for Rapides Parish Fire District No. 6, cost not to exceed $530,000.00 and authorize to secure financing and allow the Parish President to sign all necessary documents as requested by the Fire Chief and Deville Volunteer Fire Department Board. M otion to ratify authorization of the issuance of a letter of no objection and a pipeline/utility project permit for the installation of a sewer force main within the undeveloped rights-of-ways within Cotton Gin Road and Lincoln Road for the purposes of providing sewer service for LSUA and environs. Further, the Parish recognizes the City’s authority to gain access to the undeveloped right-of-way for operation and maintenance purposes from either Eddie Williams Road or Lincoln Road. (Mr. Bishop)
  4. Motion to rescind a certain motion to enter into an agreement with Steve Jenkins Contraction LLC, for repairs to Shady Crest Lane done on May 8, 2023 because of contractors workload and ratify the award to Descant’s Excavating and Construction Services for the amount of $47,498.00 to be paid from Road District 2B-2, District C funds, and authorize the Parish President to sign the necessary documents as recommended by Parish Engineer, Pan American Engineers, LLC. ( Mr. Smith)
  5. Motion to authorize the Purchasing Agent to receive price quotes for overlay project to cover a tank car on East River Road (Ward 5 – District
  • H) and award to the lowest bidder, project not to exceed $5,000.00. Project to be funded from the Public Works General Fund. (Mr. Johnson)
