1. EXECUTIVE SESSION – Personnel Issue – In accordance with LSA-R.S. 42:17(A)(1) – per the request of the Public Works Director.
2. Discussion on the process and completion of work orders for the Public Works Department and organization of the Public Works Department.

BY ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT

There were present: Craig Smith, President, Oliver “Ollie” Overton, Jr., Davron “Bubba” Moreau, Joe Bishop, Theodore Fountaine, III, Rusty Wilder, Sean McGlothlin, David Johnson and Jay Scott.

Absent were Police Jurors: None.

Also present were: Mrs. Theresa Pacholik, Secretary/Treasurer; Mr. Gregory L. Jones, Legal Counsel; Mr. Derrick Johnson, ADA for 9th JDC, Mr. Cory Ashmore, Public Works Director and Mrs. Sarah Vidrine, Assistance Parish Secretary.

The invocation was given by Mr. David Johnson.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Joe Bishop.

The Police Jury of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said Parish by Hon. Craig Smith, President, who welcomed all present and then stated that the Police Jury was ready for the transaction of business.

The President asked if there was any public comment on any agenda item, to which there was no response.

On motion by Mr. Sean McGlothlin, seconded by Mr. Joe Bishop to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel issue as requested by the Public Works Director.

Roll call vote was as follows:

YEAS: Davron “Bubba” Moreau, Joe Bishop, Theodore Fountaine, III, Rusty Wilder, Oliver “Ollie” Overton, Sean McGlothlin, David Johnson, Jay Scott and Craig Smith NAYS: none ABSENT: none

On roll call vote the motion carried unanimously at 1:05 p.m.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

On motion by Mr. Sean McGlothlin, seconded by Mr. David Johnson, at 2:54p.m., to come out of executive session.

Roll call vote was as follows:

YEAS: Theodore Fountaine, III, Rusty Wilder, Oliver “Ollie” Overton, Sean McGlothlin, David Johnson, Jay Scott and Craig Smith NAYS: none ABSENT: Davron “Bubba” Moreau and Joe Bishop

On roll call vote the motion carried unanimously at 2:54 p.m.

The President called the meeting back into Open Session at 2:54 p.m.

On motion by Mr. Sean McGlothlin, seconded by Mr. David Johnson to approve recommendation of legal counsel regarding the Public Works Department. On vote the motion carried.

On motion by Mr. Sean McGlothlin, seconded by Mr. Ollie Overton to table motion number two (2) until a later date. On vote the motion carried.

On motion by Mr. Sean McGlothlin, seconded by Mr. David Johnson there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:57 p.m.
