  • (a) To consider a report and recommendation of the City Attorney to authorize the City Attorney to enter into a compromise and settlement and to appropriate funds from the risk management fund of the City to be used for payment of a certain sum towards the compromise and settlement of the claim against the City to be used to pay towards the settlement in the suit entitled “ Courtney Olver v. the City of Alexandria, Docket # 263,731-E in the Ninth Judicial District Court, Parish of Rapides” and to provide for related matters.
  • G. CONSENT CALENDAR
  1. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for replacement of existing Scada Tower located at the Wastewater treatment plant.
  2. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for water itron erts.
  3. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for sulfur dioxide, technical grade, liquid one (1) ton cylinders for Wastewater Department.
  4. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Rapides Parish Fair Association for use of Trolley’s and other matters with respect thereto.
  5. Introduction of an ordinance rezoning property located at 226 North Bolton Avenue from “I-1” (Light Industrial District) to “SF3” (Single family high density district) to allow for the development of single family homes and the expansion of North Park Village Subdivision.
  6. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to renew the service contract with Control Devices, Inc. for testing, calibration and maintenance of substation relays, meters and related equipment for the Electric Distribution Department and D.G. Hunter Generating Station.
  7. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to renew the service contract with Advanced Environmental Compliance, LLC and Terracon Consultants for Environmental Engineering and Consulting Services.
  8. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor Agreement with Louisiana Municipal Association for its annual meeting hosted in Alexandria August 3-5, 2023; and authorizing the mayor to enter into contract for services or joint services related to event; and to authorize purchases and vending or other matters related thereto.
  9. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement for Property Tax software from Arkansas Cama Technology (ACT).
  10. Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to renew an existing contract and subsequent contracts for maintenance agreement including mowing and litter pickup with the State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and other matters with respect thereto.

  1. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for annual vehicle bid current model year.
  2. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for turn out gear for the Fire Department.
  3. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for liquid chlorine one ton cylinders.
  4. RESOLUTION setting a condemnation public hearing to be held on July 11, 2023 for the authority to condemn and demolish of (25) structures within the City.
  5. RESOLUTION to adopt Housing and HUD Report for PY20222023 CAPER.
  6. RESOLUTION concerning the commissioner appointments to the Greater Alexandria Economic Development Authority (GAEDA); to remove Renee White Goolsby as a Commissioner representing District 2.
  7. RESOLUTION to confirm the appointment of Ronald Morgan to serve as a Commissioner on the Greater Alexandria Economic Development Authority (GAEDA) representing District 2.

  3. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for annual requirement contract for water, wastewater, natural gas and general site related systems.
  4. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Mill Street Ditch Cleaning.
  5. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the lowest proposal received from Yankee Holdings, LLC dba Yankee Clipper for landscape maintenance services for Third Street Raingardens.
  6. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the lowest proposal received from Taylorscapes for landscape maintenance services for Compton Park.
