- Motion to authorize the President to sign certifications to the Legislative Auditor certifying on behalf of the Governing Body that funds made available during the year from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 , pursuant to LSA -R.S. 48:751-760 have been expended in accordance with the provisions of those statutes and other standards established by law. - Motion to authorize the travel expense policy be adopted by the Jury, to provide the annual travel budget for the entire Jury, and that the Pre sident of the Rapides Parish Police Jury is authorized to approve travel expenditures during the year, not to exceed the budgeted amount. (Finance 01/09)
- Motion to authorize the registration and expenses, in an amount up to $700.00 each, for the Justices of the Peace and Constables for the 202 4 Justices of the Peace and Constables Annual Training course, to be paid out of the General Fund. (Dates to be determined at later time). (Finance 01/09)
- Motion to authorize the President to sign the engagement letter for Payne, Moore, and Herrington for the 2023 audit. (Finance 01/09)

- Motion to complete 50 hours of ditching in the Town of Glenmora – Turkey Creek Rd just past Roselawn Cemetery to Evangeline Rd – to perform maintenance to assist in draining Turkey Creek Road, to be paid out of 1A maintenance funds, town’s portion. (Public Works 01/09)
- Motion to authorize a lease agreement for four (4) Dodge Ram 2500 trucks thru Enterprise Fleet Management for use by the Public Works Department and authorize the Parish President to sign all necessary documents, as recommended by the Public Works Director. (Public Works 01/09)
- Motion to authorize the Rapides Parish Public Works Department to assist and repair potholes on Perkins Road within the city limits of the Village of Forest Hill, to be paid out of 1A maintenance funds, town’s portion. (Public Works 01/09)
- Motion to authorize the Parish President to sign the Agreement between the Chief Elected Official and the Rapides Workforce Development Board signifying the roles and responsibilities of the Office of Economic & Workforce Development Board (OEWD) as the fiscal agent and the administrative entity, and the Workforce Operations Department (WOD) as the provider of Title 1 Adult, Dislocated Worker and Youth services authorized by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 for the contract term of January 1, 2024 thru January 31, 2025. - Motion to award Work Order No. 8 – AHUs Replacement at the Rapides Parish Coliseum, under ARPA, to the lowest prospective bidder, SAMS Air Conditioning Maintenance Service, Inc. for a contract amount of $725,000.00 and authorize the President to sign all necessary documents. - Motion to create the position of part-time Secretary/Firefighter for Rapides Parish Fire District #8 – Cotile VFD, not to exceed thirty-four (34) hours per week, starting hourly rate between $10.00 - $13.00 per hour, depending on experience as recommended by the Cotile Volunteer Fire Department Board and Fire Chief. - Motion to allow Rapides Parish Fire District No. 17 to maintain possession of Asset# 12862 (2007 Fire Truck) as it is deemed repairable by the Department and requested by the Board and authorize the President to sign all necessary documents. The truck caught fire on November 16, 2023 and is considered a total loss by the insurance company. (Mr. Overton)
- Motion to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise to receive bids on Hot and Cold Mix (Bituminous Material) for the annual contract to be paid from Public Works Department Fund and applicable Road District Maintenance Funds as recommended by the Purchasing Agent. (Mr. Overton)
- Motion to exercise the option to extend Bid No. 2641 (Hay Lease) for an additional year (May 1, 2024 thru April 30, 2025), as requested by the Purchasing Agent. (Mr. Smith)

- Motion to approve adding $0.25 per hour for the following approved listed certifications for Rapides Fire District No. 7 employees: Driver Operator Engine, Driver Operator Mobile Water, Rope Rescue Awareness, Rope Rescue Operations, Rope Rescue Technicians, Incident Safety Officer, Live Fire Instructor, Live Fire Instructor in Charge, Officer 3, Instructor 3, Hazmat Tech, Hazmat Incident Commander, Fire Investigator, beginning with the first pay period of 2024, as recommended by the Ruby Kolin Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors and Fire Chief. - Motion to approve the increase of base pay for Rapides Parish Fire District No. 7 part time employees as follows: Base pay with no certifications will go from $10.50 to $11.00. Base pay with EMR/EMT-B or firefighter will go from $11.90 to $12.00, beginning with the first pay period of 2024, as recommended by the Ruby Kolin Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors and Fire Chief. - Motion to adopt an ordinance to establish or set a 15mph speed limit on Gwen Parkway, Ward 7, District E, and authorize the Public Works Department to erect speed limit signs. (Mr. Bordelon)
- Motion to authorize the hosting of a Mardi Gras Vendor Event and Parade at Cotile Recreation Area on February 3, 2024 from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm and authorize the Parish President to sign all necessary documents, pending legal counsel approval. (Mr. Bordelon)
- Motion to approve the amended budget for calendar year 2023 and proposed budget for calendar year 2024 for the North Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory Commission, as requested by the North Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory Commission. (Mr. Bishop)
