  1. Motion to adopt the minutes of the Rapides Parish Police Jury held in R egular Session on May 8, 2023, as published in the Official Journal.
  2. Motion that approved bills be paid.

APPOINTMENTS TO BE ANNOUNCED ***Henry Blake on the Rapides Housing Authority Board for a six (6) year term. Term expired October 9, 2022. (From September agenda) *** Michael Grant on the Central Louisiana Regional Port Authority Board for a four (4) year term. Term will expire July 20, 2023. ***Michael Shuler on the Fire District No. 2 Civil Service Board. This is an employee elect for a three (3) year term. Term will expire July 29, 2023. ***Michael Nugent on the Rapides Area Planning Commission for a five (5) year term. Term will expire July 8, 2023. ***Kenneth Wilson on the Waterworks District 11A for a five (5) year term. Term will expire July 13, 2023.

  1. Motion to authorize to delete from the Rapides Parish Fire District No. 17 Asset/Inventory Program the below listed equipment as it was damaged by power surge. This equipment is still under warranty and will be replaced at no cost to the Fire District.

  1. Motion to delete from the Rapides Parish Fire District No. 7 the Asset/Inventory Program the below listed as it is not repairable and is considered scrap as requested by the Department Chief. Asset Number Description Disposal 10947 EF Johnson VP600 Model II Radio Scrap to be used SN# 51700130502112 for parts (Finance 06/05)
  2. Motion to accept the Public Works Directors annual review of the Rapides Parish Police Jury Stormwater Ordinance, as required by the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and LDEQ Permit. (Public Works 06/05)
  3. Motion to grant a new overhead primary electric line right-of-way to CLECO Power, LLC, for an electrical service line for the maintenance shop at Cotile Recreation Park and authorize the President to sign necessary paperwork. (Public Works 06/05)
  4. Motion to reject all bids received for the Hoyt Road Asphalt Roadway Improvements on May 25, 2023, due to errors discovered in the bidding process, and to authorize Pan American Engineers, LLC to readvertise and receive bids for the project, as recommended by Engineer. (Public Works 06/05)

  3. Motion to grant approval of Lone Pines Subdivision, located at Highway 28 West and Miller Road, Gardner, as recommended by the Rapides Area Planning Commission and authorize signing of the plat. ( Tourism & Economic Planning 06/05)
  4. Motion to approve the revocation of a part of right-of-ways and alleys in Neal Heights Subdivision located at Hot Wells Road, as recommended by the Rapides Area Planning Commission and Pan American Engineers and authorize the President to sign all necessary documents.   6. Motion to adopt a resolution authorizing the Rapides Parish Police Jury to enter into a Professional Service Agreement with Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc., to provide planning, engineering and related services for the Esler Regional Airport Terminal Repairs project and authorize the President to sign any necessary documents.   7. Motion to adopt an ordinance to amend Section 1 -1. – Parish redistricted into nine districts; boundaries designated; to define the boundaries thereof, to provide the effective date for said reapportionment; and to the Police Jury Districts to accommodate reapportionment. Motion to authorize roadwork under the Master Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Pineville for striping and reflectors on Stilley Road, to be paid out of Road District 9B, District B funds and fifty percent (50%) of the total cost of the project to be reimbursed by the City of Pineville. (Mr. Bishop)
  2. Motion to authorize the Rapides Parish Police Jury to execute an Engineering Agreement with Pan American Engineers, LLC. to develop bidding documents for District A – District Wide Asphalt Roadway Improvements and authorize Pan American Engineers, LLC. to advertise and receive bids for the same.   1. Motion to authorize cleanup of garbage, trash, weeds and debris at 0 Henry Avenue, Alexandria, LA and authorize legal counsel to invoice the property owner for cost of cleanup. Public Works Department to complete the job if a contractor is unable to complete the job in a timely manner or if it is cost prohibitive. (Mr. Scott)
  2. Motion to award contract for the Base Bid to Tudor Inc., the Low Bidder, in the amount of $887,000.00, for the Rapides Parish Fire District No.6Deville Volunteer Fire Department Living Quarters contingent upon a contemporaneously negotiated deductive Change Order be executed between the Rapides Parish Police Jury and Tudor Inc., to deduct certain work to within funds available, as recommended by the Engineer and authorize the Parish President to sign any necessary documents. (Mr. Smith)
  3. Motion to authorize Rapides Parish Fire District No. 5 to submit a grant application to the USDA for the construction of a new station, as requested by Oak Hill Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors and Chief and authorize the President to sign necessary documents. (Mr. Johnson)
  4. Motion to authorize to contract with Fontenot and Associates (Engineering Firm) to start the design phase of a new station for Rapides Parish Fire District No. 5, as requested by the Chief. (Mr. Johnson)
  5. Motion to authorize purchase of security cameras to be placed in the Courthouse & Jail, State Contract No. 4400022170, not to exceed $80,000.00. (Mr. Bishop)
  6. Motion to grant approval to Eagle Ridge Subdivision, located off of Belgard Bend Road (Boyce), as recommended by the Rapides Area Planning Commission and approved by the Parish Engineer and Legal Counsel. (Mr. McGlothlin)
