NOTICE OF SPECIAL POLICE JURY MEETING
- Public Hearing for Rapides Parish Police Jury, sitting as the Board of Review, to receive any protests under a Request for Review of property tax assessments timely filed.
- Any other business that may properly come before the Police Jury.

Police Jurors; Davron “Bubba” Moreau, Joe Bishop, Richard Vanderlick, Oliver “Ollie” Overton, Jr., Sean McGlothlin and Scott Perry, Jr.
Member absent: Theodore Fountaine, Jr.
Also present were Mr. Bruce Kelly, Treasurer; Mr. Dennis Woodward, Public Works Director; Mr. Shane Trapp, Courthouse Building Superintendent; Mr. Thomas O. Wells, Legal Counsel and Ms. Laurel Smith, Secretary.
The invocation was given by Mr. Scott Perry.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Richard Vanderlick.
The Police Jury of the Parish of Rapides, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said Parish by Hon. Richard Billings, President who welcomed all present and then stated that the Police Jury was ready for the transaction of business.
The President asked if there was any public comment on any agenda item, to which there was no response.
On motion by Mr. Ollie Overton, seconded by Mr. Bubba Moreau, to sit as a Board of Review for hearing complaints on property assessments, as advertised. On vote the motion carried.
Mr. Rick Ducote Parish Tax Assessor, presented the 2015 Assessments for Rapides Parish as certified to the Police Jury on September 11, 2015.
On motion by Mr. Ollie Overton, seconded by Mr. Richard Vanderlick, to open a public hearing to receive the protests for those requests received and timely filed. On vote the motion carried.
It was noted that two protests were received on September 14, 2015 and withdrawn the same day.
On m otion by Mr. Joe Bishop, seconded by Mr. Scott Perry, to close the public hearing. On vote the motion carried.
On motion by Mr. Craig Smith, seconded by Mr. Sean McGlothlin, there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:06 a.m. On vote th e motion carried.
