- Motion to ratify authorization to issue a burn ban in Rapides Parish, to cease and desist all private burning due to extremely dry conditions. Private burning shall only be allowed by permission of the local fire department or local government. This ban shall be effective September 16, 2013 and shall remain in effect until rescinded. - Motion to purchase a 2000 Freightliner Truck Tractor from the Louisiana Federal Property Assistance Agency for an amount of $15,000 to be paid from Road & Bridge Funds received from the equipment sold at the auction, as recommended by the Public Works Director. (Louisiana Federal Surplus Equipment Co. had four (4) vehicles and has sold (2). Holding vehicle till September 27, 2013) (Mr. Smith)
