Agenda Agenda Item #3: Approval of Minutes A motion to approve September 4, 2024, minutes as written by Nathan Martin, seconded by Ben Russo. On vote the motion unanimously passed. Transportation Policy Committee Elections Agenda Item #4: a. Call for Nominations TPC Vice-Chairman b. Motion to approve new TPC Vice-Chairman Call for nominations for TPC Vice-Chairman from the floor made my Chairman Roy. Nomination of Mayor Bishop as TPC Vice-Chairman made by Mayor Roy. Councilman Martin moved to close nominations and a motion was made by Mayor Roy, seconded by Ben Russo to approve Mayor Bishop as the new TPC Vice-Chairman. On vote the motion unanimously passed. MPO Housekeeping Projects for Approval: Agenda Item #5: Motion to approve FFY 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program – Amendment No. 5 The committee reviewed Amendment No. 5 and Administrative Modifications to the current TIP, and an update regarding implementation of TIP projects. a. A motion to adopt the remainder of the TIP Amendment No. 5, minus Jackson Street and Aerial Photography by Mayor Bishop, seconded by Nathan Martin. On vote the motion unanimously passed. b. A motion to include addition of Aerial Photography as part of TIP Amendment No. 5 as originally proposed by Mayor Roy in TIP Amendment No. 5, moved by Mayor Bishop seconded by Ben Russo. On vote the motion unanimously passed. c. A motion to move Jackson Street project from FFY2026 to FFY2027 as proposed by TIP Amendment No. 5, subject to conditions by Mayor Roy, moved by Nathan Martin, seconded by Mayor Bishop. On vote the motion unanimously passed.

A motion to add Jackson Street Project to the February 5, 2025, TPC meeting agenda for reconsideration by Mayor Roy, moved by Nathan Martin, seconded by Mayor Bishop. On vote the motion unanimously passed. Agenda Item #6: The committee discussed efforts to improve vulnerable roadway user safety and intersection improvements along the MacArthur Drive corridor. A motion to adjourn by Nathan Martin, seconded by Troy Roussell. On vote the motion unanimously passed.

At this meeting, the Transportation Policy Committee will elect a new vice-chairman and take formal action regarding proposed updates to the Transportation Improvement Program for the Alexandria-Pineville MPO planning area. The agenda and online meeting participation instructions will be posted to our website www.rapc.info/transportation.
