CONSENT CALENDAR

The Council next read all items found under the heading Consent Calendar and assigned them to committees.

Mr. Fowler moved for the introduction of all items appearing under the heading Consent Calendar. Ms. Felter seconded the motion. It was unanimously carried by the Council. Bids were received for Public Building HVAC Improvements for Indoor Air Quality Phase One Customer Service Building. Name of Bidders Sam’s Air Conditioning Maintenance Services, Inc. Dove Group LLC

The Administration requested all bids be rejected and the item removed from the agenda. On motion from Mr. Fowler and seconded by Mr. Rubin all bids were rejected and the following item was removed from the agenda: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR PUBLIC BUILDING HVAC IMPROVEMENTS FOR INDOOR AIR QUALITY PHASE 1 CUSTOMER SERVICE BUILDING AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

Bids were received for one dive boat for the Fire Department. Name of Bidders Loewer Power Sports

The Administration requested all bids be rejected and re-advertisement authorized on the following: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE DIVE BOAT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

Mr. Fowler moved for the adoption of the following resolution, which was seconded by Mr. Rubin.

RESOLUTION NO. 0556-2024

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REJECTION OF ALL BIDS AND READVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR MINIMUM OF ONE DIVE BOAT FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. The President called for any discussion, a vote was called for and resulted as follows:

YEAS: Fowler, Washington, Rubin, Villard, Felter, Perry, Johnson.

NAYS: None.

ABSENT: None.

This resolution was thereupon declared adopted on this the 11th day of June, 2024.

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL RECEIVED FROM MID-STATE SUPPLY COMPANY FOR KCMIL COMPACT ROUND, CLASS B STRAND COPPER, FILLED STRAND FOR THE ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL RECEIVED FROM LINETEC SERVICES, LLC, FOR ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO AWARD THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT TO PAN AMERICAN ENGINEERS FOR THE COA-MPO ASPHALT REHAB, PHASE 3 PROJECT AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO. On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST PROPOSAL RECEIVED FROM ROYALTY KINGDOM CLEANING SERVICES, LLC FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR ATRANS BUS TERMINAL AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT UPDATED PROGRAM POLICY GUIDELINES FOR HOME MAJOR REHAB AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ALL CREATURES ANIMAL CARE TO PROVIDE VETERINARY SERVICES FOR THE ALEXANDRIA ZOOLOGICAL PARK AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO.

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Ms. Felter the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DR.
