  1. RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for Public Enterprise Project Alexandria Riverfront Development Phase II.
  2. RESOLUTION appointing Michael P. Marcotte to serve as Director on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Energy and Power Authority.
  3. RESOLUTION accepting the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire for the audit year ending April 30, 2023.
  4. RESOLUTION to address Public Safety providing for the guiding principles and directives to carry out the Alexandria Police Department Recruitment and Retention Policies and Initiative; to provide direction for the various ordinances that may from time to time be enacted authorizing specific partnerships, cooperative endeavors or professional services to benefit the Alexandria Police Department Recruitment and Retention Policies and Initiative; to accept donation and other partnering offered by stakeholders and the public to address the needs of the Alexandria Police Department Recruitment and Retention Policies and Initiative; and to address the exigencies created by challenge to Law Enforcement Retention and Recruitment through organization of offices, divisions, departments and programs of the City to address implementation of the Alexandria Police Department Recruitment and Retention Polices and Initiative: To make reports to the Council relative to the Alexandria Police Department Recruitment and Retention Policies and Initiative; and to provide for all matters with respect thereto including adopting Executive Orders JMR-2022-1, 2023-1 and 2023-2 as policies of the City of Alexandria.
  • H. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING
  1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for hardware and conductor for Sterkx to Willow Glen 138 kV reconductor.
  2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with Alexandria Dixie Girls Softball to host and co-sponsor the Softball World Series from July 28-August 2, 2023.
  3. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to accept the low bid submitted for MacArthur Drive Roadway Lighting Improvements Phase 5.
  4. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement for professional and cooperative services with Cenla Broadcasting; to accept donated services in a match program from, and with, Cenla Broadcasting and to budget with respect thereto; and to program and launch with Cenla Broadcasting a campaign in support of the City’s Alexandria Police Department Retention and Recruitment Initiative; and to provide with respect to all matters related thereto.
  5. To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning property District) to “SF-3” (Single Family High Density District) to allow for the development of single family homes and the expansion of North Park Village Subdivision.
