PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 24, 2023. The Council of the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, met in a regularly scheduled meeting session in the City Council Chambers, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. Those present were the Honorable Lee Rubin, Chuck Fowler, Cynthia Perry, Gary Johnson, Jim Villard, Lizzie Felter, and REDDEX Washington. Also present were Kay Michiels, Chief Administrative Officer, Michael Caffery, Deputy Chief of Administration Constituent Relations and Scheduling, City Attorney Jonathan Goins and Council Staff. The Council of the City of Alexandria, State of Louisiana was duly convened as the governing authority of said City by the Honorable Lee Rubin, who stated that the Council was ready for the transaction of business. The invocation was pronounced by Ms. Perry and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Johnson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On a motion of Mr. Villard and seconded by Mr. Fowler the minutes taken from a regular Council Meeting held on January 10, 2023 was unanimously approved by the Council. CONSENT CALENDAR The Council next read all items found under the heading Consent Calendar and assigned them to committees. Mr. Fowler moved for the adoption or introduction of all items appearing under the heading Consent Calendar. Mr. Villard seconded the motion. It was unanimously carried by the Council. No bids were received for the following, the Administration requested for re-advertisement. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID SUBMITTED FOR DG HUNTER UNITS 5-11 SPARE PARTS FOR ELECTRIC PRODUCTION AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO. Mr. Fowler moved for the adoption of the following resolution, which was seconded by Mr. Villard.
RESOLUTION NO. 0348-2023
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR DG HUNTER UNITS 5-11 SPARE PARTS FOR ELECTRIC PRODUCTION.
The President called for any discussion, a vote was called for and resulted as follows:

This resolution was thereupon declared adopted on this the 24th day of January, 2023.
On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Mr. Villard the following ordinance was introduced to wit:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO RENEW THE

On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Mr. Villard the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST QUOTE RECEIVED FROM CBS CLEANING SERVICE FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE WASTEWATER AND LAB DEPARTMENTS AND OTHER MATTERS WITH RESPECT THERETO. On a motion of Mr. Fowler and seconded by Mr. Villard the following ordinance was introduced to wit: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ARC RAPIDES FOR CLEANING SERVICES AT FRANK O. The President called for any discussion, a vote was called for and resulted as follows:

This resolution was thereupon declared adopted on this the 24th day of January, 2023.
Mr. Fowler moved for the adoption of the following resolution, which was seconded by Mr. Johnson.

This resolution was thereupon declared adopted on this the 24th day of January, 2023.
On a motion of Mr. Villard and seconded by Fowler the public hearing was closed.
The President asked if there were any other business, which by unanimous consent may properly come before the Council. There being no further business to come before the Council, on a motion properly seconded, the meeting adjourned.
