FOR THE SUM OF $90,000 FROM ERNEST L. GLEASON, III AND PAMELA BEESON BREWER GLEASON AND AUTHORIZNG THE EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED THERETO. Motion by Ms. Stich, second by Mr. Barron, to authorize Executive Director to purchase 224 North Bayou Rapides, Alexandria, LA. for the sum of $90,000 from Ernest L. Gleason, III, and Pamela Beeson Brewer Gleason and authorizing the execution of all documents related thereto. On vote, motion carried. 018-2011 MOTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE EQUIPMENT LEASE AGREEMENT REGARDING OAKWING GOLF COURSE. Motion by Ms. Stich, second by Mr. Barron, to authorize Executive Director to execute equipment lease agreement regarding Oakwing Golf Course. On vote, motion carried. 019-2011 MOTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO RENEW CONTRACT WITH KAZETTE ENTERPRISES, INC., FOR ASSISTANCE WITH DBE PROGRAM FOR ALEXANDRIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Motion by Ms. Stich, second by Mr. Barron, to authorize Executive Director to renew contract with Kazette Enterprises, Inc., for assistance with DBE Program for Alexandria International Airport. On vote, motion carried. 020-2011 MOTION TO AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NUMBER 3 TO THE UNION TANK CAR PROJECT COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR AGREEMENT TO ALLOW REIMBURSEMENT FOR FUNDS EXPENDED IN CONSTRUCTION OF THE UTLX SUPPORT SITE. Motion by Ms. Stich, second by Mr. Barron, to authorize Chairman to execute Amendment Number 3 to the Union Tank Car project Cooperative Endeavor Agreement to allow reimbursement for funds expended in construction of the UTLX support site. On vote, motion carried. 021-2011 MOTION TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO PROCEED WITH FLOORING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR BUILDING 1150. Motion by Ms. Stich, second by Mr. Barron, authorizing the Executive Director to proceed with flooring improvement project for Building 1150. On vote, motion carried. 022-2011 MOTION BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE ENGLAND ECONOMIC AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMENDING AND THE ENGLAND ECONOMIC AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS REGULAR SESSION MARCH 24, 2011 --MINUTES Page 3-- HONORING MR. ELTON H. PODY FOR HIS VISION, SERVICE, AND COMMITMENT TO THE PEOPLE OF CENTRAL LOUISIANA THROUGH HIS TIRELESS WORK ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; THANKING MR. PODY FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY AS ONE OF THE CHARACTER CHARTER COMMISSIONERS OF THE EEIDD; THANKING MR. PODY FOR HIS INDISPENSIBLE LEADERSHIP ROLE IN SECURING; THE POLLOCK FEDERAL PRISON COMPLEX, THE P&G EXPANSION CLUSTER, THE REDEVELOPMENT OF ENGLAND AIRPARK AND IN PARTICULAR THE UNION TANK CAR PROJECT, THE FOUR LANE CONSTRUCTION OF LA 28 WEST; THANKING MR. PODY FOR HIS STELLAR REPUTATION OF HONESTY, COOPERATION AND PROFESSIONALISM THAT IS WELL RESPECTED IN BATON ROUGE AND WASHINGTON. MR. PODY, BY HIS ACTIONS, HAS BROUGHT CREDIT TO THIS COMMUNITY AND HELPED CREATE A BETTER ECONOMIC FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN. Motion by Ms. Stich, second by Mr. Barron, adopting motion by the Board of Commissioners of the England Economic and Industrial Development District commending and honoring Mr. Elton Pody for his vision, service, and commitment to the people of Central Louisiana through his tireless work on economic development; thanking Mr. Pody for his service to the community as one of the charter commissioners of the EEIDD; thanking Mr. Pody for his indispensible leadership role in securing; the Pollock Federal Prison Complex, the P&G expansion cluster, the redevelopment of England Airpark and in particular the Union Tank Car project, the four lane construction of LA 28 West; thanking Mr. Pody for his stellar reputation of honesty, cooperation and professionalism that is well respected in Baton Rouge and Washington. Mr. Pody, by his actions, has brought credit to this community and helped create a better economic future for our children. On vote, motion carried. 023-2011 MOTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACT WITH WACKENHUT SERVICE, INC., FOR FIVE YEAR FIXED PRICE ARFF CONTRACT AT ENGLAND AIRPARK; AUTHORIZING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO TAKE SUCH ACTION AS IS NECESSARY TO CONDUCT ORDERLY TRANSITION; THANKING RURAL METRO FOR ITS SERVICE TO ENGLAND AIRPARK.
