- Motion to delete from the Rapides Parish Highway Department the following equipment as it was used for trade-in against the purchase of new: Asset Number Description Disposal 10726 Alkota Pressure Washer Trade-In (SN# 258794) (Mr. Moreau)
- Motion to proclaim the month of September as “Work Ready Month” in Rapides Parish. (Mr. Bishop)
- Motion to approve Change Order No. 1 for the Masonic Drive Drainage Improvements Project, Project No. 1786-079-0002, for an increased amount of $46,435.13, for a total amount of $1,845,924.13 for conflict box installation and water line adjustments and concrete pad for box laying culverts and to extend the contract by 10 days, as recommended by Ballard CLC, Inc. Engineers and authorize the President to sign same. (Mr. Overton)
- Motion to adopt a proclamation calling a special election in the Office of Alexandria City Marshal, Parish of Rapides; the primary election shall be on Saturday, March 24, 2018 and the general election shall be on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and the qualifying period for candidates shall begin on January 3, 2018 and end on January 5, 2018. - Motion to approve Change Order No. 1 for the Libuse Library, for an increased amount of $6,820.00, for a total amount of $1,026,720.00 to revise a brick monument sign and to change the effluent pipe sewer treatment plant, to a sprinkler type, as requested by Fontenot & Associates, LLC (Mr. Smith)

- Motion to authorize the Public Works Director to submit a letter of interest and an application for a Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Relief, as a part of the Non-Federal Cost Share Match Program, for the March 2016 Floods (DR-4263) and authorize the President to sign all the necessary documents, as recommended by the Public Works Director. (Mr. Smith)
- Motion to adopt a resolution that the Rapides Parish Police Jury does hereby approve Plastipak for participation in the Industrial Tax Exemption Program at Pardue Road in Pineville, LA and authorize the President to sign any necessary documents. (Mr. Smith)
- Motion to grant approval to Poole Subdivision located at LA Highway 112 and Earl Lindzay Road, Forest Hill, as recommended by Rapides Area Planning Commission and approved by the Public Works Director, subject to the review of Legal Counsel and authorize signing of the plat. (Mr. Billings)
- Motion to authorize to accept the grant offer from the Federal Aviation Administration, for Airport Improvement Program, AIP No. 3-22-0002-0262017, at the Esler Regional Airport, Removal of Obstructions - Runway 32 approach and Rehabilitation of Runway 9/27 (Phase 1), and ratify authorization for the President and Legal Counsel to sign same. (Mr. Smith)
